i renewed my passport today at the wangsa maju immigration branch.

i arrived at 10.45am, and before 12pm, my passport was ready for collection -___-. so.freaking.fast.

at the damansara branch, even if you arrive at 10am, the queue will be so looooooong there wouldnt be any number left when its your turn -___-

also, i remember at the damansara branch just a few months ago, i enquired one of the staff something about the form, and in response she raised her voice “tak tau fill up ke?”. hmm, probably she’s pmsing. haha, but still thats no excuse for being rude to me!

and what surprised me more is how friendly the staff at wangsa maju was, as though they got shipped from another planet.

what i only conclude economically, haha, is that, provide better working environment for the staff, and labour productivity will increase. the wangsa maju branch has good airconditioning system haha, and it’s less “stuffy” and “crowded”, while the damansara branch is worst than a wet market.

and better environment is a happier environment which makes even the female staff who’s pmsing less prone to leasing her anger onto innocent fellas.

regarding those kiosk around every immigration centers: i cannot stop thinking about the cause of an inelastic demand for photo stating services and passport photos which contributes to the higher mark up price.

and of course, higher profits leads to more competitors, which, tends to reduce to mark up price to an equilibrium.

if tumblr allows drawings, i’d have drawn a demand schedule graph here haha.
